TRAFFIC!!

With the start of Ramadhan, you all should know that traffic in KL can be crazy.

I mean, today I had to drop off a “package” in KLCC, and guess what?? It took me 30 minutes.. YES, 30 minutes.. doesn’t sound too bad, you say? No sirreeee bob, I was coming from The Bungalow at Jalan Damai, (home of Doodlebug). and we’re right smack in town! It’s normally a 5 minute leasure drive.

Maybe it was the rain.. Go figure. Although, I have to say on Monday, me and Dura were able to make it to Pasar Keramat in 10 minutes, get fantastic parking (albeit illegally), bought food, pick up lil’ miss boss and and back in my apartment with time to spare before breakig of fast.

But today’s traffic made me really think about the classes we run in the afternoon.. to go back at 5.30.. okay the kids rarely leave on time, since they just have too much fun playing .. *sigh* I hope the parents can brave the traffic.. (secretly thanking all the parents whom are also drivers a.k.a chauffers)

Meanwhile, our parties are on full swing! We have Riley’s 5th Ben 10 party this Saturday, and I’m pretty sure that the kids will have HUMONGOUS FUN.

Ramadhan!

For all my muslim readers, happy fasting!

Ironically, we at Doodlebug started Ramadhan with an ice cream making class during the Mini Bakers class. Well, they are all below 6 years old.. The ice cream looks sooo good, but it just taught me to be more patient, after all, this is the time for all of us to be more spiritual, and to be thankful of what we have.

This week also marks the Malaysian school holidays, and of course, some kids are already on their summer break! So don’t  forget, Mini Matisse, Tune In and Mini Bakers are in full swing! Call 012 353 0501, to learn more about these classes!

I’ve lots to tell, I just came back from a fabulous Sabah trip and I really want to share it with you guys.. Till later, keep healthy!

2 months???

WOW!!

Has it really been 2 whole months of no updates on Doodlebug’s blog????

Time really flies.

Don’t get me wrong, but lots has happened the past few months. We are currently running 7 classes – Mini Groove Club and Mini Matisse on Tuesdays, Groove & Grow and Science Twist on Wednesdays, Tune In on Thursdays; and Kickboxing and Mini Bakers on Saturdays!

Although for this week, Mini Groove and Groove & Grow is cancelled, as our beloved instructor, Claudine is recovering from her appendics surgery (yes, this can happen to anyone of all ages..)

Oh and by the way, watch out for some exciting news coming soon on our blog, but first I have to upload some shots of the parties we’ve held in these past months…

Baby Signs Parent Workshop at Doodlebug

Great news! We will be hosting our first Baby Signs Parent workshop at Doodlebug on 24th May, Sunday at 10 am!

Babies have a lot to say….even before they can actually speak. With the Original Baby Signs® Program, babies and toddlers can communicate what they see, what they need and even how they feel by using simple easy-to-do signs for words like “Eat”, “Milk” and “More”. Research has shown that the Baby Signs® Program decreases frustration, help babies talk sooner, enriches parent-child relationships, and boosts’ babies intellectual development.

Join other families around the world in discovering the joys and benefits of this revoluationary approach to early communication!

The Parent Workshop is a one time, 2 hour instructional event designed to introduce parents (and parents to be), grandparents, and caregivers who would like to communicate with the baby in their life before they can talk, to the Baby Signs® Program of infant communication.

Learn to communicate better with your child, all at RM250 only (inclusive of materials) with the lady who is responsible in bringing in this wonderful program to Malaysia, Jamie Solomon!

Call 012 3530501 and sign up today. Hurry, space is limited!

I’m in pain..

So I attended the kick boxing class on Saturday, and paying BIG time for it! Don’t get me wrong, the class was great.. (there’s just something about pretend punches..) But I haven’t exercised in a very long time (read: lazy). And so I was completely at the mercy of my stiff leg muscles, looking very much like an old woman needing a cane this past few days.

With all that said, I LOVED it, and looking forward to the next class, and lean muscular thighs and deadly punches that can crush anything or anyone for that matter!

*Muay Thai classes runs every Saturday, 10.30 am!
